இயற்கையின் தாகம்

காடுகள் கேட்டன நாமேனழிகிரோம் இந்நாளில்
ஏரிகள் கேட்டன நாமேன் வறள்கிரோம் இந்நாளில்
குருவிகள் கேட்டன நாமேன் மடிகிரோம் இந்நாளில்
புலிகள் கேட்டன நாமேன் ஒழிகிரோம் இந்நாளில்
பனிமலை கேட்டது நானேன் உருகினேனிப்போது
இவற்றிற்கு உற்ற பதில் கிடைப்பதெப்போது
என்று தணியுமிந்த இயற்கையின் தாகம்
என்று மடியுமிந்த செயற்கையின் மோகம்
செயற்கை வெல்ல வெல்ல பிறந்தது போகம்
போகம் உயர உயர மிக்கது செயற்கையின் வேகம்
வேகம் உயர உயர நிறைந்தது மனிதனின் வஞ்சகம்
ஆசையில் பெருகின பணமும் பயமும் பகையும்
வில்லும் அம்பும் மாறி ஏவுகணையும் அணுகுண்டுமாயின
பண்பும் அன்பும் மறைந்து வஞ்சகச் சொற்றொடராயின
சாதியும் வேதமும் உற்ற அரசியல் தளவாடமாயின
காடும் ஏரியும் மீண்டும் நிறைவதெப்போது
குருவியும் புலியும் நிறைந்து வாழ்வதெப்போது
காடும் கழனியும் பொலிந்து பொங்குவதெப்போது
மானிட நேயம் உயர்ந்து விளங்குவதெப்போது

English translation:
Nature’s thirst
Forests asked “Why are we shrinking these days?”
Lakes asked “Why are we drying these days?”
Sparrows asked “Why are we becoming scarce nowadays”
Tigers asked “Why are we getting destroyed nowadays?”
Snow Mountain asked “Why am I melting fast these days?”
When will the answers to these be available?
When will the thirst of Nature be quenched?
When will this craze for artefacts diminish?
As artificiality grew up luxury was born
As luxury grew up the pace of artificiality increased
As this pace raced up human deceit filled up
In greed, money, fear and hatred multiplied
Bow and arrow changed to missiles and atom bomb
Human ethics and love gave way to crafty talk and propaganda
Caste and religion became handy political weapons
When will the forests and lakes fill up again?
When will sparrows and tigers return to live again?
When will the jungles and grain fields proliferate?
When will the human values rise up and shine?

Trial Blog for alternate dashboard

Ajitha,
I am trying whether my alternate blog spot opened by mistake works on old posts. Please confirm whether you are able to operate as usual. I have the problem when ever I log out from this site my GMail account also gets logged out. I cannot afford that. I find that I had opened a new account by mistake with my GMail name and pass word. Let us see if this works.
